Healing, growth, and regulation through connection with horses.
Equine-assisted services are a unique, experiential approach that intentionally incorporate horses into activities designed to support personal growth, emotional well-being, learning, and skill development. Participants interact with horses on the ground through guided, hands-on experiences that can encourage self-awareness, confidence, communication, problem-solving, relationship skills, and connection. Depending on the service and individual goals, sessions may be facilitated by qualified equine professionals, mental health professionals, or other trained providers.
Horses are highly aware of their environment and responsive to body language, movement, and changes around them, working with them can give clients immediate opportunities to practice emotional regulation, trust, communication, boundaries, confidence, problem-solving, and present-moment awareness.
