Mandy is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with a master’s degree from MidAmerica Nazarene University. Having grown up with horses, Mandy experienced firsthand the connection, awareness, and growth that can come from working alongside them. Bringing her clinical work and lifelong connection with horses together was always the goal.
Mandy has been practicing Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) since 2013, using an experiential, trauma-informed approach to help clients build awareness, connection, confidence, and emotional regulation. She works with children and adolescents, as well as first responders and veterans, and has a strong clinical background in trauma and complex trauma.
Mandy believes horses offer something uniquely valuable to the therapeutic process—the opportunity to build on traditional talk therapy with experience, practice, and skill building, in the moment.
